Red Clay Celebrates 'I Love to Read' Month with Nationally Recognized Authors
February is 'I Love to Read' month. RCCSD elementary schools will be celebrating by hosting six nationally recognized authors. One author will spend a day at each elementary school. During the day, authors will present their stories and talk to students about the joys of writing and reading.
Librarians, reading teachers, art teachers and music teachers will build the excitement for the author visit by reading stories, sharing the author's background, drawing related pictures, and singing songs.
In order for families to share in the celebration, there will be an evening Author night and book signing event on February 21, 2013 from 6:30 – 8:00 at Brandywine Springs School.
