Special Services

 

The Office of Special Services provides supports to Red Clay schools, Red Clay students, Red Clay families, and the Red Clay community.

 

The Office of Special Services is responsible for ensuring compliance with the state and federal regulations for students with disabilities. The Office of Special Services works hand-in-hand with the Office of Curriculum & Instruction to provide appropriate curricula for students and on-going professional development for teachers in instruction and classroom management. 

 

Supports provided through the Office of Special Services include evaluations for special education services, Child Find, related services (including speech/language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychological supports), special transportation, homebound and supportive instruction, paraprofessional support, assistive technology, Section 504 compliance, referrals to out of district placements, and professional development for Educational Diagnosticians and other school staff.
